This Copyright Policy outlines how fintekin ("fintekin", "we", "our", or "us") handles copyright and intellectual property infringement claims. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), the EU Copyright Directive, and other applicable international laws. This policy applies to all content on our platform — videos, documents, posts, downloadable files, and user-generated material. We expect all users, including instructors and partners, to respect intellectual property rights.

1. Your Responsibilities


  •         • Only upload or share content you own or have permission to use
  •         • Do not upload copyrighted materials unless covered by a license, fair use, or another legal exception
  •         • Do not include unauthorized third-party material in any part of your course or resource — even if offered for free


Processing: any action performed on data, including collection, use, storage, or deletion.


2. Reporting Copyright Infringement


If your copyright-protected work appears on fintekin without authorization, you may send a takedown request under the DMCA or other relevant jurisdiction.


Your notice must include:


  •         • A physical or electronic signature
  •         • Description of the copyrighted work
  •         • URL or location of the infringing material on fintekin
  •         • Your contact information (name, email, address, phone)
  •         • A good faith statement that the use is unauthorized
  •         • A declaration under penalty of perjury (or equivalent) that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act

3. After a Takedown Notice


Upon receiving a valid notice, we will:


        • Remove or disable to the content

  •         • Notify the uploader
  •         • Share the complaint with them
  •         • Inform them of their right to file a counter-notice


Your counter-notice must include:

            • Your name, address, phone, and email;

            • Identification of the removed material and where it was located;

            • A statement (under penalty of perjury or equivalent) that the removal was in error;

            • A statement of consent to jurisdiction of a federal court in your district (or fintekin's jurisdiction if outside the U.S.);

            • A statement that you accept service of process from the complainant'

            • Your signature

    4. Restoration Timeline


    Once a valid counter-notice is received, we will:


    •         • Forward it to the original complainant
    •         • Wait 10-14 business days
    •         • Restore the content unless notified that legal action has been filed


    5. Repeat Infringer Policy


    We may suspend or terminate accounts subject to multiple (typically two or more) or serious infringement claims. We may disable content or accounts during an investigation.


    6. Anti-Piracy Monitoring

     

    We may partner with third-party anti-piracy services to monitor for unauthorized distribution of content outside fintekin. By using our platform, you authorize us to act on your behalf unless you opt out in writing.

    7. Reporting Trademark or Other IP Violations


    For issues related to trademarks or other intellectual property (e.g., patents, design rights), contact us with:


            • Your rights and registration (if applicable)

    •         • A clear description of the issue
    •         • The location (URL) of the content in question

    8. International and EU Users


    We process copyright and content removal requests in line with the DMCA and the EU Copyright Directive. Users in other jurisdictions may submit legally valid takedown notices following their local laws.


    fintekin strives to support compliance with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), and we aim to notify affected users of removal decisions and allow for appeal where applicable.


    9. fintekin's Role


    We are a neutral intermediary. We process takedown and counter-notices under applicable laws but do not arbitrate disputes. We aim to uphold a balanced copyright process.

    This policy may be updated to reflect legal or operational changes. The latest version will always be available here. Significant changes will be communicated to users.
